For Knoxville moms and moms to be
My youngest daughter Amanda who lives in Memphis is a single mom of 2 year old Cooper, one of my grandsons. She has always been pretty thrifty with her money but now that she’s providing for two she has elevated saving money and bargain hunting to an art form.

Nothing she does is hard or time consuming, she says if you know where to go, and you can save absolute tons of money. Amanda says she has never paid more than 20 cents each for any of Cooper’s diapers. I don’t know much about diaper pricing but that sounds pretty cheap to me.
Freepeats is one of her favorites; they’re now open for business in Knoxville.
“What is Freepeats?
Freepeats is a way for parents to get gently-used baby, kid and maternity items like clothing, high chairs, bouncers, swings, bikes, and toys for free from other parents who have finished with them. It’s also a way to get rid of baby cast offs without having to load up the car (and the kids) and take them to the thrift store.”
One of the Memphis TV stations did this story on her with some great money saving tips for thrifty moms.
BabyCheapskate.com (affiliated with Freepeats) is also high on Amanda’s list for money saving clothes for the expectant moms plus clothes, toys, and all sorts of things for baby.

I love the article about the little referee. My friends kid wants to be an accountant or lawyer. He collects junk mail and puts it in a place where he organizes it and calls it his paperwork. He loves paperwork.
